Le Morne Anglers’ Club, founded in 1955 is up to now the only fishing club in Mauritius. The LMAC held the world record of the heaviest Pacific Blue Marlin (1115 lbs) for many years since 1972. The Club has acquired world renown and great reputation, fishermen are coming from all over the world to fish from the LMAC. Many National competitions are now being organized from the LMAC and this helps to promote fishing on the island.
